when did e36 m3's come with quad exhausts?

someone correct me if im wrong but quad exhausts on a 4 cylinder will probably bring ur backpressure down to nothing since ur engine doesnt produce that much power to begin with!

^ thats the same thing as quad exhaust... just put dual tips on it instead.
...and in terms of 4cyl with dual exhaust, yeah none really have actual dual exhaust, it's usually a single pipe that comes into the muffler which then splits into 2 exit pipes, seen it on a few scubys.

I can't even understand why on a 328 or M3, but anyway....

The quad exhaust an be done, but there is some work involved. A guy I know here in Bradford did it on his 325, he removed the cat, installed an aftermarket muffler in place of the cat (same location, mid car) and ran two pipes to either side of the rear bumper with Y-pipes just before the bumper.

Just don't

Don't do it. You'll think it looks good for a week, then you'll forget you have them. Instead, but yourself a set of Koni shocks. Way more fun for the money.

go for a single exhaust setup with dual tips..just get someone to make u a pipe and add a magnaflow muffler if u must..

u do have to keep in mind that ur starting off with a weak engine (relatively speaking) so dont expect much as an end result...
