Wholly S#$% I can't believe the ignorance of some of you. I just came back from a 4.5 week vacation in China, visiting 3 different cities from large to small, and countless villages, and had an amazing time. I went there with no expectations or stereotypes and came back with a great appreciation for the people and country.

No country is without it's issues, but until you've been there, visited a factory there, lived with local people, learn about their country by asking questions, etc, how can you say anything against them. Do you stereotype against everyone that isn't exactly like you or don't produce a car you like??? There was a world war against such people like that if anyone remembers.

i deal with china every day. WE PRODUCE PRODUCT THERE. EVERYTHING FAILS TESTS, AND THE FACTORIES CAN'T EVEN PASS AUDITS. come again?

Secondly, after being in china for 2 weeks, yes it wasn't a bad place, but thats not what this thread is about. Other then people clearing their throats in public and horking very loudly , it was ok.

Once again, this is about an inferior product, not a country.

Produce a car i don t like? Sure! Only because the car is a DEATHTRAP with safety standards of the early 80s.

Ignorance comes in many forms my friend.

You say this isn't about a country and only about a product, but it was you that went off topic and brought up their social issues and health care issues, spitting, etc. Other than to bash China I am not sure why??

Hey I agree I wouldn't buy one of their cars, but that doesn't mean they won't improve, Look at Hyundai. Look at Honda and the first civic from Japan.

You also made a comment indicating indirectly that the reason the product are produced cheaply is because of cutting corners...ah no, it's simple economics, labour is cheaper. The same reason India is a meca for programming outsourcing, and mexico has taken manufacturing jobs from Germany and North America.

But China are absolutely capable of making good products, the factory I visited, produces high end clothing for a label in Paris France, and treats there employees very well. Because you continue to deal with a supplier that doesn't pass it's QA tests and audits is again your problem and nothing to do with this cheap SUV.
