Single VANOS seals now available

This guys sells the seals and has an outstanding write-up
for DIY. Apparently the results are very interesting. This cures frequent hiccups and bog down at low RPM.

There is an accompanying repair procedure:

Anybody I could lease/borrow a "BMW Timing Lock" toolkit from
in the Ottawa/Outaouais area??

Great! (I've been wanting to join MCO this summer and try Calabogie but I only took my bike there so far. Next season.)

Did you do the Vanos seals yourself? In any event, if it's possible for me to rent the tools from you, I'll order the seals and all the other gasket part and I'll do the work.

No, I bought a rebuilt sunbelt limited vanos from Dr Vanos.

No prob on the tools. Buy your shit, and let me know when you're ready to do the work. I don't want them out for too long, so plan your work

^^scotch, do you have MSN? Any chance i can harass you with some vanos questions? I'm having some issues at low RPM's, and i can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone as to what i be looking at replacing.

BTW, i just read the writeup. I'm 150000% doing this as soon as my car gets pulled out of storage this year. Seems brilliant, and seems like my vanos actually isn't dead, its just this steal. I'm not 100% its the seal yet, but it seems very likely.
