bmw on board computerrr

so i ws running my rca cables thru the passengerside panel ( main console)
and i had to pop out the bmw on board computer
and when i put the computer screen back in. the lights got all dim...
and like screwed up badly.

so my quesetion is . if i got some1 elses on board comptuer..and jus hook it up . will it work ? or wud i have to go to the dealership and buy the new one....

You can just swap out the OBC with another.

Before getting a new one, check to see if the bulbs are blown. If that's the case just replace the bulbs for the backlighting.

Agreed. It's usually just the backlight that needs to be replaced. There's usually 2 stages for OBC lighting.
