get the factory alarm off of tischer. it think its around 300. it has tilt sensor, motion sensor, glass breakage, and the best part is you wont need another key fob.

Does anyone on this site have this factory alarm and how does it work if you don't have a pager-alarm on your keychain to show you if ur lights are on or if the trunk or car door is open of if someone cracked your winshield etc...? How much is it to install? Please let me know...how it all works....

Well it doesn't really matter I just need some sort of way to know if my car is being broken into, and if I dont have the remote how else would I know, say you are in the movie theatre and your alarm goes off how do you know with the OEM BMW Alarm? But if you have the keychain remote alarm from either Compustar or Viper at least you know your alarm is on....and you have a peace of mind.

Yeah but that could also work agains you. Lets say you have a neighbor that you pissed off and he decideds to kick your car just to set your alarm off at 3am while you are sleeping...

Best protection IMO is a satellite tracking system.
