car shuts off

ok so, it shut down on me today, 3 times...
it has enuff gas, and this is when im slowing down, or comming down on a from a small hill....to a street or seomthing.... the oil icon lights up, im getting the oil changed tomorrow.... what do u think i should do? or a better question, what do you think it might be?

You did check the oil when the light came on right? It could be your maf if your car begins to shake or your oil sending unit. Can't diagnose without more details or codes...sorry

Mass Air Flow Sensor, big rectangular box with plugs, try disconnecting it and see if it works fine if it does then it possibly could be that.

i had a same problem on my E39. it was shuting off when idling, also jerking while driving. Bought a "CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner" from Nappa, sprayed it up and runs fine. Occasionally acts up, but very rare. i would highly suggest the cleaner first, before replacing the maf.
