Yup Ive seen that, there are some professors I recognise on that thing. They do make a lot, but remember they have all gone to school for at least a minimum of 8 years. It really pays off for them.

dont they deserve to make that much money if not more?

Well.. Ive had some profs that were really good and some that were REALLY bad. Some profs are worth more than they get while others couldn't teach a fish to swim, and arent worth a cent.

Believe it or not, teachers are paid more so on the amount of research they do, not as much on how well they teach.

But they do get paid very well per hour worked. Think about it, if they teach 2 classes, its about 4-6 hours per week of lecturing, plus maybe like 3 hours a week of office hours. Then other than that, just marking 2-3 tests for every six months (with help from TA's) and winter break, and 4 months off in the summer. And they get over $100 G's for that!! Not bad at all.......

i agree with miguel, some teachers cant teach at all..even though im not in university high school is a good example too..my math teacher couldnt even explain square roots to a kid in my class
