i was wondering if the camera i used to take this pic is junk, or is it the idiot that was using it? it was a fujifilm with zoom and flash, still doesnt look as clear as other pics ive seen posted. when enlarged it looks even worse.

I just recently figured out how to brighten up pics taken in bad light. Here is your same pic above using the "Image Tuning" setting on my photoediting program (602Photo...it is so basic it would probably work on a Commodore 64! LOL!).

And how old is your camera? How much did u pay for it?

Dave, do not use Brightness/Contrast to mkae pictures brighter, it just makes it foggy. Better use Image -> Adjust -> Levels

On the top bar, take the right triangle and move it to the center until you get what you want. I find it much better than brightness/contrast

Vlad,

I don't have photoshop. Just some really cheap program that came with the computer. It dosen't make the pic foggy because I have gone back to some of my old pics I took with my digital camera and it made a huge difference.

I have a Fujifilm at home... I have the same problem with mine if the area isn't REALLY bright. For the quality though, there should be a setting for that - High, Medium and Low res.

It's hard to tell in that picture, but did the flash even go off?

Oh, make sure its not on the "flower" setting. That's just for closeups.

Hey, great tip! I used to use brightness / contrast combined with gamma correction.
