IMO, the best thing to do, would be to read online, there are sooooooooooo many websites with infinite amount of imformation.
e.g this website contain information, that will take some time for you to learn.

this and there are soooo many around.
ohh and finally, shoot whatever the **** you feel like shooting. play with the settings. In other words, practice, practice and practice

Yea, but I'm the type of guy who needs to be shown and do, versus read it.
I get what everyones saying, but to find a website that will answer my questions and cretique my work effectively isn't going to happen.

True - I don't know - I'm not going to be convinced that courses can't help. I'm still going to go that route.
I have found one site that has online video's - that might be a good way - no feedback though...

The best advice I could come up with has already been mentioned. Practice and mess around with it. Read as much as you can about techniques and such. The class idea isn't bad because you will pick up on alot of tricks and hints which will make a world of a difference when it comes to your picture quality and such. Luckily my cousin is a photographer so he teaches me things from time to time.

Alright folks - I've decided to post one of them of my son - I'm not sure how I feel about images floating around the net of him, but what the hey... This one of him is after he's finished his lunch and is looking out to the backyard, longing to go on the swings!
Let me know your true opinions - I need to learn! Constructive criticism is welcome...

I hear good things about the Henrys.com courses. Plus, there are plenty of locations in the GTA that offer them.

^^ I hear mixed reviews of their classes...
Living Arts Centre in Mississauga has some too. Looking at the Humber and Sheridan ones too.

^^My sister in law took creative photography classes in Living Arts Centre...you'll surely learn a lot. I wish I have the time to attend this summer...
I like the composition of pic no. 6 & 7, your son. Make the brightness less and add more contrast and sharpness to start with..
good job btw..

Hey Deep, great shots especially for a newbie! Sheridan is very good, highly recommended. photography forums are great, but my best advice is to get out there and shoot!

Thanks Warren!
Yea, I think I will have to look into Sheridan's courses.
Heard anything about Henry's courses? They are on sale right now at $60 per course... fairly cheap, but I don't want to spend money on something useless...

+1 for Sheridan. I know of a couple people who took classes there and they say it was worth it.
