Resetting the oil light!!

i just did an oil change in my 02 bmw 320i. even after the change the oil still shows -600 (while u turn ur key) and increasing instead of resetting it to 7500 or whatever that number is.
how do i reset that?

Does that second procedure actually work?... Seems to easy to be true. I thought you had to go into BMW and buy an oil light reset tool.

IF you search e46fanatics, you'll find how to do it.

Since I have it handy, I'll post it here:

Press and hold the left button on the cluster button.
Then turn your key on to the first click.
This is know as KL15 position at this point they mileage on the service should be displayed in the instrument cluster.
Keep hold the button until the mileage begins to flash then you must release the button and press it again and this will reset the mileage on the service indecator.

took some time but got it. unfortunately it says 25000 kms. i plan to change it when it turns black or 7000km max.
