Low oil problem!

i recently bought 2002 bmw 320I. its been over a month and i started noticing the oil light while driving. it would go away once i stop the car. i checked the oil and it was around 1 or 1.5 L below the actual line while the car said 800 KM left for next oil change. i added 1L oil and its running fine without the light.

just wondering weather i have leaks in the car or is it suppose to burn that much oil? :S i did check the parking spot, no leaks but then again the bottom is covered.
please help with this problem.

My guess is the Crankcase vent valve. When they malfunction, they can pull oil from the oil pan, into the intake. In some cases it can almost fill the cylinder, and hydrolock the engine.

Is there any blue smoke at start up, or while driving?

no, no blue smoke. exhaust is working perfectly (as in water and clean gas with max acceleration)
