Mothers Canuba Wax

ive been using turtle wax polish, for some time..eh its ok but the shine wears out too quick. I wanted to purchase some Mothers Canuba Wax and give it some shine. Is it any good? What is the best applicator to use for this, maybe hands?

Carnuba waxes are for shine, they're natural waxes. The downside is that they evaporate very quickly.

Synthetic waxes or sealants, like Meguiars NXT are for protection. They last much longer than Carnuba.

If you want shine, get Carnuba, if you want protection, Synthetic.

THe three steps are usually a light compound which removes swirls, a polish, and then wax.

Even with this process, you still need to protect the paint afterwards. A carnuba wax will not protect as well as synthetics.

What I usually do now is just use Carnuba, but I'm curious if you've tried layering Carnuba on top of the Synthetic?

I looked at those myself. Always wondered whether those 'once a year' coatings actually worked.

I have tested so many sealant and wax. Locally, I suguest the NXT 2.0 sealant. If you want to get a more shine, put a layer of paste wax. The only canuaba wax I use with polymor is the Pinnacle wax. It is the best shinniest wax I have use. It will last longer then regular canuaba wax. But its pricey.

Synthetic wax will not shine as well as carnuba. But the differences are minimal. Meguiars NXT 2.0 Sealant is arguably the best off the shelf "wax" you can buy.
