Not without spacers. Ix's have much much higher offsets instead of the lower regluar e30 offsets.

I was hoping to run a 225/50/15 hankook ventus rs-2. Can I do this without fender rolling?

I think you asked this on R3V too? I answered in that thread, so I'll post a shorter one here.
It's a chance, as it may rub the front struts (1 guy I know tried and said this happened, another random person says it worked). If you really want a 225 get the BFG G-Force Sport, it's known to work. And no, fender rolling won't be needed.

Spacers for the fronts to clear the struts, the rears work without. But it looks really bad.

Crap i waited to late to order. 912s no longer available in that size, PTM switch to a canadian supplier.
Any other recommendations for 205/45/16?
He suggested Maxxis Z1?

Tiretrends still lists a 205/45/16 912, and they don't carry any US sizes that I've ever seen. Call Tires23.
On Tiretrends the Kumho SPT is also the exact same price as the 912, try for that too. You'd prefer that tire.

Hi. I just acquired a 1987 325is that I will be turning into a track rat. Car still has the stock 14" bottlecaps. I happen to have a set of Kosei K1-TS wheels with the correct 4x100 bolt pattern, 15x7 with et38. Will these wheels fit? Are spacers or lug bolt extentions needed?
What is a recommended tire size (specifically looking for R-compounds for track use).
Thanks for your help.

15mm spacers are required, and you can fit up to a 225/50/15 (well, most. Not a Hoosier) with just minor fender rolling in the back. If you stick to a 205, you won't have to do anything.

Of course, pretty sure I told you guys at wings at least a few times that I wanted those Sportmax's all around with like 205/40/17s. They should JUST clear the front struts, you might need 3mm spacers, but that's it.
Hell I might still do it.

really thats it? when we did the test fit on the front, it hit the strut and the rim was pretty far from the hub. how close are we talking with the 3mm spacer?
btw, rims are Falken Hanabi... ugly but practically free
ohh and any fender clearance issues? especially with my gay ass suspension set up?

See, a guy on R3V had the same problem with the same wheels. But on the flipside, I've spec'd out numerous other 17" wheel setups that have the same or even less strut clearance. And Erick Mahle, the drifter, even test fitted another brand 17x9 ET20, and it cleared!
So, I don't know if there's something really off with the machining of those Falken wheels or it's just two unlucky cars (with tweaked hubs or something). But in any case, 17x9 ET20 should just clear the struts. Since it obviously doesn't in this case, start trying spacers. I wish I could tell you how much you'd need, but by all calculations you don't need any. Zimmie's fronts are 17x8.5 ET20, so if you want as much clearance as he has go for 5-6mm spacers. I know the WD guys have 3mm spacers on the shelf, just stack two of them for testing.
Fender clearance won't be a big problem if you run 205/40/17 tires (which is a huge stretch). See if you can get those guys to find a set of 512's laying around. If not, the 912 will be harder to mount but should still work.

Anything bigger than a 205 is only going to hurt performance, unless we're talking R-compound tires.
That said, the 195/60/14 Falken RT-615 is the stickiest 14" street tire available in any size, so you may as well get that.

Hi,
I have a 1986 325 which is lowered about 1.25" from both the front and the rear end.
I am looking at a some nice sets of rims :-
1) Konig Incident 17x7 4X100 lug pattern and 40mm offset
2) Konig HotSwap 17x7 4X100 lug pattern and 40mm offset
3) Enkei J10 17x7 4x100 lug pattern and 42mm offset
I was thinking of going 215/40/17 with one of these sets !
Which of these rims would fit on my car, and would I need to get spacers to make them fit, and what tire size would be ideal if they are to fit ?
Thanks
