may your wish be granted.
okay, its in!!!! not 100% complete, but i wanted to see how it looked. i can still easily read everything, and it doesnt look too tiny there. water temp gauge doesn't work, but thats not an issue, i have spares. this is a totally spare cluster, haha.
i have to get rid of the glare/reflection issue on the LCDash screen. its real annoying. any ideas on this? i could angle it a bit, i guess, but i dont know how much i'd have to, in order to get rid of that reflection.
well? what does everyone think? any suggestions?

and here's a youtube link of it in operation

I have a small idea... you could inset the monitor, or maybe leave it where it is, then use a magnifying lens to make it appear 2 - 4 times bigger.
I think its functionality is just plain cool.
Mike.

What about those laptop screen covers that are a matte finish? Maybe you could find a cheap one, cut it down and see if it helps the glare?
Tilting it would help too.
Anyway, looks awesome!

I WOULD NOT, drive my car if my Temp gauge wasn;t working. The chance of an overheat is scary. Also, where is the speed? Maybe I missed it.
I could see what you mean about the glare, really annoying for sure.
Really like the concept though.

You can try to buy a polarizing or anti-glare filter, cut it to shape and place it over your screen. This one from 3M is expensive but it gives you an idea:

or

Hopefully you can get the same kind of glass in smaller sizes. Looks very cool btw, best of luck.

I have to admit I thought this was one of those projects someone starts and never finishes, I am fairly impressed that you pulled it off man.

speed isn't implemented yet. soon, though.
and as for the temp gauge, the e30 clusters are notorious for grounding problems on the fuel and temp gauges. i just have to poke it to get it to work, haha. to fix it for good, means to clean off the bottom contacts and bolt it in securely. which is next on the priority list.
this is the layout i designed, hopefully i can get it programmed in.
