Are you serious?

I'd assume that's because you had Canadian license?

It's like that in ON/NS, you get G2 right away and then go for G test when you want.

It didn't matter that I had a license, they asked for photo id. I gave them my passport and they said it was alright.

I don't know the reason, but if your 16 or w/e getting your license you have to take behind the wheel and oh man is that a joke...you're pretty much paying idk what it was $200-$400 for your drivers license. The driver instructors pretty much talk on their cell phone the whole time. It was so scary being in the back seat with people whole couldn't drive what so ever! Yet, they easily got their license...

As long as you pay and don't die, you get your license.

And if your experience is for most people...no wonder damn Asians can't drive for shit.
