What is the smallest rim size for a 04 330i

Can I use a 16" rim on a 2004 330iA. I overhead I can only use 17" rims, is that true?

i believe it is 17s but there was one 16 that was able to fit . . the reason the most 16s cant fit is because of the size of the brakes.

that's what I heard, that I can only use 17" but someone told me I can use 16" as long as they clear the brakes. I guess I will need to test fit.

You're right. Most 16's won't clear the calipers. Some do

This is a quote from Jay. These are for an e36 m3, but if i had to guess i'd say these are the 16s that would most likely fit.

Aftermarket 16's that work:
Mille Miglia Spider

AT Italia Type 5 (Contour reps)
ASA JH3

The ASA is still sold new by Tirerack, the rest are no longer available.

I have a set of 16" AT Italia Type 5 (Contour reps) and they would fit a 330i. However, care must be taken when balancing the tires. The stick-on wheel weights must be applied to the front of the wheel instead of the inside of the wheel. This is to make sure that the stick-on weight does not touches the brake component.

If you're looking for cheapies, tirerack.com has a few 16" wheel styles that will clear 330 brakes, I don't believe any OEM BMW wheels will though.
