Buying an SUV?

Buddy,

My wife drives a Nissan Pathfinder.
I have a '99 540i- ask her which one she preferrs to drive...
Yes, thats right , the Pathfinder...

Try www.epinions.com website.

The ratings are done by current or previous owners, and are not influenced by critics who are getting kickbacks, if you know what I mean.

My take,
if you want an everyday car that's not going to leave your wife on the side of the road, then stick with Toyota 4runner or Nissan Pathfinder.

I would love to buy a Subaru wagon, but you can't haul 4X8 sheets of plywood or drywall...

get the 4runner only if your wife knows how to drive it. then i say ,you have found your vehicle (no offense to your wife, just lots of woman drive suvs like cars and especially 4runners are a little on the tippy side, great truck though! go for it!

The truck's really not for the wife (she dosen't drive no licence).

Also this tip/roll over thing is overly exagerated. Any vehicle can tip over. When driving my samurai, it almost tipped on me once because of my stupidity...

This week end on TLC on a show "called what were you thinking", A guy rolled a e34 wagon doing ermergency brake doughnuts on dry pavement...

I'm going either with a 4runner or a Pathfinder. Depending on price condition and cargo space!

My dad has a 4.4 X5 and it is absolutely amazing. If you can, get an SUV, not a wagon!

I say get a wagon as well.

SUVs
- are a rip-off
- waste gas
- danger to others
- potential danger to self
- ugly
- high insurance
- heavy
- have terrible braking / handling

Really the only safety advantage they have is weight. If you hit another car, you will basically obliterate the other car and it's occupants. You will probably be fine. However if you hit wall it's a different story.

Very true
