2001 330ci electrical
my signals work properly, however, they are not showing on or off on the dash just blank same goes for my high beams. Also, seatbelt light stays on all the time. Any ideas? Do I need to change the whole cluster? or is it a simple fix? Thanks in advance...

Many BMW electical gremlins can be resolved simply by disconecting the battery and leaving it off for a bit ( a few minutes)...sounds too simple, but I bet it works!

Also if you have installed an ipod adaptor or cd changer , disconnect it and try that as well.
Had my DICE adaptor for a few months then all of sudden one by one every light on my cluster was on and no signals..as well...unplugged the DICE and all worked again. Something about the BUS signal getting interference.

another weird thing
My remote stopped working in the morning and was fine later today, however when locking the doors my flashers wouldnt go off until I opened the car (remotely) and did it again this time my flashers didn't blink at all. Now they don't blink when locking or unlocking the doors but it works...
Does BMW use some sort of a relay switch, if so could it be that? I will try my battery this weekend see if that does it, or perhaps even replace it..
Thanks for the input anyone else have any ideas, please post...
The only thing I found on the internet so far was the same exact issue on a 325, and the guy was told to replace the whole cluster which has to be done at the dealer çause of the codes and is expensive...

Tried the battery thing, didn't work, got rid of the I pod adaper, stilll no change... Sigh...

take it to bimmersport. i'm probably going next weekend for inspection 2. need to book it still. use your overtime as a lieu day.
did you try changing the bulbs? or see what happens when you take a bulb out. come by this weekend and i'll try it out for you if you don't have the tools. atleast your not having the same problems as my brothers. hahaha
