The ZE-912 is an excellent street tire for almost everyone, no doubt. But since you said you wanted dry road capability...I recommend the more exotic offerings.

As for a comparison of the two, the ZE-912 is actually too close to the FK-452s performance for me to justify spending the extra money on the summer Falken. The ZE-912 is CHEAP, and performs very similarly.

I just picked up the ZE912s and am initially pleased. I'll update my opinion in a couple weeks.

So I needed a new set of tires on DD, asked Jay since he gets a chubby when tire reviews come out, and he suggested that for a cheap High Performance everyday tire, the Falken Ziex 912's are a good bet in the size I needed. Had them mounted today, so far I love the look and the ride has improved drastically over the high sidewall winter rim/tires.
Got them from Tire 23.

Will post when I get to drive them hard.

Why you gotta be that way Jay. LOL They really suck bad bud. Only lasted 2 seasons. Garbage traction. I had the Fuzion zri before and huge difference. No more shitty tires.

Hey Jay what do you think of the Dunlop DZ101. I just bought a set for my ride. $770 taxes in, installed out the door.

225/40/18

Good price but what do you think about the tire ??

Cant wait for the cruise this year champ. I will say you did an incredible job setting it all up last year. Mad respect keep up the great work keeping the board alive Jay

lol I wasn't looking for an editorial reply, I was just laughing that you freaked the **** out.

Sorry to say but I don't like the DZ101, they are REALLY bad in the wet. I don't even know if you drive your car in the wet, but if you do, be very careful. They're also not that great in the dry either, their only real good quality is responsive handling.

And thanks for the props man, I appreciate the kind words. Hopefully you'll like the May 4th event, it should be huge. But don't walk away from your car, I still want the damn steering wheel.

Jay
