Anyone know what a replacement leather seat cover would cost? Likely would have to come from the stealership; if they still make them. I'm just wondering if it's cheaper to replace the cover; rather than try & repair it with leatherique or something like that.

know somebody with a heavy duty sewing machine?
Take the old cover off, remove the stitching, and use the old pieces as a new template. Buy new leather, cut it out, sew it up, put back on seat. New seat covers for a fraction of the cost from the dealer...
the catch is you gotta know someone who can sew, and well.
You could also take your car to an upholsterer and have them repair the seat for you. A good upholsterer will be able to match the leather perfectly and will make the seat look as good as new again for a small fraction of the cost of buying a replacement at a dealership.
I think that's going to be my plan of action. It's only the piece on the side bolster that's bad so hopefully I can find someone who can just replace that portion. Either that or the search is on for another silbergrau driver's seat...

checked out a couple of local upholstery shops in the area & it was a common answer. True leather is about $100 a linear foot in materials alone; and to replace the side bolster area with correct top-stitching would range anywhere from $140-180. And No shop would guarantee perfect colour match. Oy!

pfft... who would ever want boring old sport cloth... kidding....
Actually I saw a set of vaders on bf.c that weren't much more than the shops wanted to fix my bolster! I just don't know how insane the shipping would be.
