Fuel cutoff on e36 is there one???? When car get hits

My friends car got lightly hit on the side yesterday. Does anyone know if there is a fuel cutoff switch somewhere that gets activated when the car gets hit. He can't start his car.
His fuel pump is working fine, all fuses are good. I heard some cars have a button that resets this, does anyone know if the bmw e36 has one, his is a 97
Tx for all the info.

if there is a cut off it would kill the power to the fuel pump. So when you say that the fuel pump works fine, what do you mean by that?

There is a crash protection module in these cars which can be reset, but to my knowledge (backed by search engines) there is no fuel cutoff reset button.
