Hey R,
I find long weekends are no no for shows. A lot of people away, like the 1st Episode-not a great turn out.
Most people need "gimmicks" to get them there-spectators that is. Sex always sells, as you know. Clubs are good for everyone to party that are in the show and helps to spread the word.
In & out privledges for sure-for entrants.
People don't like spending more then $15 to get in any where.
And I would love to see trophys with name or show name placs on them.
Other thu have been doing good so far, in my opinon.

I hear ya... There were a lot of mistakes with The First Episode that I won't get into, but we all learned a lot from it. I'm no longer a partner/owner of that organization (but still helping out) because of politics etc... Instead, I joined forces with others to open up an entirely new corporation dedicated to producing the largest/best car shows ever so set foot in Canada. Keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming events that will be posted on Max. I promise you won't be disappointed... watch out Importfest & Darknights!

i saw in an earlier post about actually doing an ice or motor install on site at the show, well how about we take the ice install idea, then get two or three well known audio shops, and make it a competition, winner for best looking or best sounding or fastest completed install wins? as soon as the doors open for the show they get to start and then the last day of the show it could finish and then judging can begin.

An ICE install would be sick

I dunno one thing that draws people is the ability to win free shit. Having contests or raffles (I preffer contests were u hafta do something rather than out of a hat type deal)

Girls are a given

RC car races maybe? I went to something once and they let you race rc cars for a fee It was off road and badass. But I really can't remember what the hell it was at

We all love cars, and car shows.. but honestly its a tough market and we all know Jap sells ALMOST as good as sex sells. Id love a euro show.. but good luck making your money back on it.

Heres an idea for a show.. do a JAPAN VS. WORLD SHOW
make the type-r's show off against euros vs. N. America...
Also, I never see enough vendors displaying BRAND NEW products or concept products.

...oh and I say screw the contests.. nobody went to the AUTOSHOW for the CARS they were giving away.. save your money.

PS. that ICE INSTALL CHALLENGE sounds really interesting

PPS. get that HI-REV TUNERS crew to make an appearance.
