318 Manual Transmission

I had a couple of questions, maybe you guys can help me out with.

first, M10 and M42, does it use the same transmission or different?

if they are different, which one is stronger?

if they are the same, how much power can they handle?

thanks in advance

They use different transmissions.

Not sure which one is stronger, i would say the later 240 since its compatible with m50 motors.

I THINK the most the later 240 could take was 230ish ft/lbs of torque.

Don't the M50s use a getrag 260?

I'm trying to find out about the reliability of the 318 tranny, How well do they with stand abuse. I would probably be putting around 220-250 wtq through it.
