winter tires for 07 323i

I have an 07 323i and would like to purchase winter tires and rims.

I spoke with the dealer and they recommended the blizzak runflats, steel rims, 16", for $1800.

Do I really need the runflat for winters?

Where can I get affordable winter tires for my BMW?

From personal experiance on my 06 330i (blizzak 17" rft).. i didnt like the quality of my blizzak tires ya they worked well.... but for the price i paid for them, never again.

if you can get hannok winters get them

Thanks. Went to tiretrends and they treated me well.

btw, Are you running runflats? I spoke with BMW. They stated that if you don't have runflats, and you incur a flat, and called bmw roadside assistance, you would be charged for the towing of your car to the nearest bmw dealership. I called two dealerships, (just to make sure) and both verified this information. just thought this would help.

BMW includes runflat tires i bought the same car and i assume if a tire goes that is not a runflat grade tire or whatever when u get a winter tire, that they will fock u over for not having a similarily OEM spec tire that u got on the car from the lot, specially if its required maintenance on a leased car like mine is .

sigh i assume whatever winter runflats there are, are a must .

and being a RWD car the 323i, any winter tire should be a no brainer since its not an AWD version otherwise the xdrive cars would be better in snow for sure with all seasons .
