Tune up

First time e30 owner and first tune up time. Is it worth buying a kit or buying separate parts? Where can I get these parts around the GTA? How much would it cost to have a garage do it for me? How much would i save doing it myself? Anyone around the GTA want to help me do it; after I do something once with guidance i feel a lot more comfortable doing it myself

a tune up with plugs / air filter and fuel filter with valve cover gasket and valve adjust if your car needs the air filter and fuel filter goes for abour 400$$ parts and labour

You can also buy a bentley manual and look on ebay for a complete setup for tune up parts for cheap and then attempt it yourself with the bentley to back you up. Should save you a couple hundred dollars plus you'll have the knowledge for next time.

I buy parts for bmaparts.com in Cali, if you want quality parts (OEM) they are alot better priced than the dealer here.
