E46 M3 Rims on Non-M3

Hi everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I wanted to get the most feedback on this question. I'm wondering why the E46 M3 rims (19's) won't fit on a non-M3. I know they are wider (9.5") and sport the 265 wide rubber. What I'm wondering is where the problem lies. Can the fenders be rolled or do they have to be physically wider... car is not going to be lowered?

the offset for the rears is too aggressive. the wheels will stick out of the fenders.
