E38 rear tail lights

Ok, I've been wanting to upgrade the tail lights on my car for some time, but cant seem to choose if I want to go the route of the OEM style red and white euro lights

or the same style red and whites but with LED's?

I really just cant make up my mind. I really like the look of the OEM, but dont know if I should 'stand out' with LED's.

Any comments and opinions are welcome.

I don't know who makes E38 tails. Look on the back to see if it's Hella. If it's Hella, the best thing to do is to find a Hella dealer. Basically, you'll get the exact tail light at a discount price. The only difference is it won't have a bmw logo imprinted on it.

The same should go for any other manufacturer.

another route I was thinking of going was to purchase the OEM euro lights and have them sent over to TekLeD in Montreal. He does great work and can even do custom LED clusters.

has anyone here done that before?

call rocco at RMP. He got a set of aftermarket clears for his dad's e38, they look awesome.

depending on the color, but i would most probably go for the second one
