E90 Front Jack Point - where is it???

I'm going to attempt to change the oil myself this weekend as BMW is being not offering their free oil change until the car says it wants one (in 18,000kms yeah right!).

I have searched everywhere, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on how to jack up the front end properly. Even the E46 guys seem to have problems (

I've come accross these two pictures- it seems as if the rectangular block's sole purpose is as a jack point...can anyone confirm this before I crush the whole beam in?
