We are in the middle of an LS1 into a e36 and its almost finished! The custom headers are done, and we have to wire it up!

I think the e39 M5 engine would be great, or even just the 4.4-4.6L V8!

$20,000 JUST for the install price sounds pretty pricey don't you think? Can you guys let me know if this a little pricey or not for a motor Swap?

That plus the engine or that includes the engine? Dont you think ud be better off selling your car now and buy a new one?

That kind of pricing is a ballpark, after getting a M5 engine, wiring (or standalone) transmission, custom drive shaft, custom mounts, cooling parts, labour etc.


Ask Notjoe what a custom engine swap cost, once you start the $$ adds up. People pay in the range of 4000-6000 for a M3 engine and transmission installed in a e36 and that is a straight swap!
