Wobbly Noise at around 60km/h

My 1995 325I starts making a, wobbly and cyclical (like a flat tire) is the best that I can describe it, noise at around 60km/h in 3rd gear or higher. The noise sometimes starts before or after I hit 60, and it isnt rpm dependent. I cant really hear the noise at lower speeds, because the hole in my muffler may be drowning it out. Im scared of driving it further in case it could cause further damage. Any suggestions as to what it could be?
