^ To each his own. Obviously the 3 series is attractive enough to sell in large quantities around the world and remain BMW's bread and butter car.

This 1 cab is hot!

To a limited extend in N.A., where G35's have been outselling 3-series coupes, thanks to bangle's signature ugly butt designs. With the new G37's getting even hotter and BMW ugglier the spread is going to get wider.
I don't get it.....he does a nice job on the front and sides...yet he's soo stubborn and won't change that retarded rear.

The controversial Bangle butt has been a design mimicked by many other car makers. You'll find Bangle's styling cues in the Mercedes S class and Toyota Camry.

We are getting just a bit off the topic of the 1 Series

Just noticed.....

that's a huge front bumper...needs an M-style one to make the car look more BMW again.

The Mercedes S class and Toyota Camry rear ends look better, cause at least the tail lights meet up.

The Camry has styling cues?

The 1 cabrio looks like it could have been better... the headlights are still ugly, and it looks too tall, even if you were to lower it.

It does look tall, especially from the front. The problem is with very small cars you can't do as much with the sheet metal as you can with larger cars. I mean, you still have all the functional pieces like engines, cabins etc and have to work around them. Some smaller cars are taller in order to maintain cabin space and its 'feel' of a larger car.

^^^^In that case they should at least try to fool the eye into thinking it's shorter... like putting the styling line (that is above the door handle) back down to the same level as the door hand like in the old days.
