M50 turbo in the engine bay.. that's what the video claims..
anyway.
the tacho's not moving.
hear the rev climb!!
you can actually see the speedo travel so quickly.. if the speedo is not wrecked that is..
wonder if he's got special transmission or what..possibly a dogleg?

that's pretty powerful, sounds like my car... nothing by wheels spin. I don't beleive the speedo for 1sec.... nothing seems to work on the cluster (how can you reach 120km/h in 2nd gear?).

hey randy.
have been keeping an eye on your car since the 1st time i saw it!.
cool car.
and please advise me on this one:
i am going for a manual transplant for my 325i.
what's it going to be?
would a dogleg or regular manual be practical?
cheers
Tom

Goddamn... Can't you count gear changes ? First gear goes from 0-50km/h (all wheelspin), second gear from 50-80km/h (wheelspin), third gear from 80-125km/h (no wheelspin after 100km/h), fourth gear from 125-175km/h and finally FIFTH gear up to 210km/h. With each gear (except fifth) you can hear the rev limiter, so it shouldn't be too hard to count the gears...? Right ? The car very special transmission called getrag 260. The final drive ratio is 4.10, so that's why it goes only 175km/h at fourth gear. It all makes sense after all...?

that totally makes sense now. For some reason when I downloaded the video, the sound doesn't quite keep up to the picture feed, so the needle on the tach doesn't match the sound of the revs, that's why I didn't understand the shift points.

The rev limiter on that engine is lowered to 6400 rpm and it has fully programmable Hestec ECU.
