I think a lot of people make the mistake of not charging the capacitor first .. read the instructions that came with it (if its new) then you will see that you should have charged it before installing it. Use a voltmeter and find out the power outage coming from the battery, coming from the cap, and what the cap is when the car is off (if its charged). You should have a steady 12.1 volts at least coming from the cap when the car is on with deep bass.
