That's what I was thinking, could just be the engine cover. But wow, that engine (or at least the cover  ) looks good in there!
The V8 hasn't even had a chance to really prove itself yet and people are already swapping it .. ah well, if this trend catches on, maybe this means e92 M3 motors will be easy to come by.

Why not? You can buy kits from mrpaddleshift.com ... it's a little pricey. It's definitely on my "want to do" mod list ... if I find a cheap e46 smg wheel/airbag I'll be all over that mod.

If he's talking about a paddle retrofit, that's fine. But what I read it as is "How do I make my automatic transmission shifter look like it's an SMG shifter"

Yeah, I was just about to edit my post and ask if that's what was meant. I'm sure it could be done ... don't know of any current kits out there, but something could probably be fabricated. Send your ride down to Unique Autosport, or West Coast Customs, or Chip Foose ... they'll do it for you.
