These are the Projector36:

These are the Gen4:

The inside is basically the same. Maybe the headlights you saw were Depo copies.
The main difference is the lens (gen4 is sometimes glued, sometimes clipped) and the Projector36's come with the DDE already installed.

I think Projector36 looks good

the Projector36's projector has a shiny surrounding shroud as opposed to the normal one around the gen4....right?

the gen4's basically look like the euro/zkw/bosch/whatever u wanna call OEM BMW projector headlights with glass lenses. And then when you add the Angel Eyes to them they look very, very nice.

The projector36 are the ones you posted before and they look like gay ricer stuff, the bezel around the projector on the "projector36" headlights looks like ass, and also the glass lens on the outside has these little ribs on the top that make it look even more like ass.

EDIT:its pretty easy to find pics of the gen4 (or similar style) lights, pretty much everybody has 'em, its like one of those standard mods to do just cause the stock ones are brutal and get fogged up and light up about as well as an oil lantern, which I'm sure you've realised by now.

i didnt mean aesthetically.

i mean what is the difference regarding light output that would justify the higher price, almost double of the gen 4's. they are made by hte same company and all.

I couldn't imagine much differnt, I've heard the optics on the projector36's are not that great anyway.

Wow, I never knew there were so many types.

I actually like the cheaper ones better. They aren't as...busy.

Thanks for the enlightening post Karim.
