e36 reverse lights aren't working

I noticed last night that when I put my car in reverse, that my back-up lights are not coming on. I have a 5 spd manual and I think it might be the reverse light switch. Anyone else ever had this happen to them, any other possible ideas of what it might be. (I know its not the bulbs or the fuses, I checked all of them)

BMW Service Information Bulletin:

Reverse Switch

A manufacturing defect may result in the reverse switch pin breaking. The switch is not monitered by the Check Control system.

Dealer to check if vehicle falls into affected range. (you have a 325i sedan, right?)

If your VIN falls within this range: FE08861 - FE09145 your vehicle COULD be affected.

Check switch production code: if it IS 262 or 272 it should be replaced If it IS NOT either of those two, your switch is not affected by this bulletin.

New Switch P/N (should you need it): 23 14 7 506 637 $8.49
