Removing A Stripe, Trouble with the goo

My truck had a nasty stripe going all the way around it so I took a heat gun to it today and got all of the stripe off but There are a few patches of glue residue still left over.

I have been at it with goo gone for awhile and its not really coming off all that well. I googled it and have also tried these solutions

-vegetable oil
-nail polish remover
-axe body spray (weird I know)
-finger nails
-credit card

Any one have any ideas? I have read about some eraser thing you put on a drill...

Help!
