Since chritsmas, when i drive in traffic my car heats up, it goes almost to the 3/4 line, when driving on highway I am between the 1/4 line and the 1/2. If i stay too long in traffic, over 30minutes i also get my pressure light on. Could it be i have the wrong thermostat? it started when i changed it
Different ones are made to open at different temperatures. (i think the dealer sells two temps, 80 and 75 degree ones)
In my experience i had the same prob until i went back and told them i wanted the lower temp of the two.
If you order from the states you can also get a 71 degree termostat.
Easiest way to check is to take the termostat out and check it, they are usually marked.
