Bought an 87' 635csi, 5 spd

After almost 2 years of BMW drought, I have just put a deposit on an 1987 632csi today. I am taking delivery of the vehicle tomorrow.
I have a couple questions:

The RPM gaiuge and the 8 button OBC doesn't work. Any pointers on where should I look at to fix?

The car is very clean and aggressive looking with 16" Borbet basketweaves so I don't think I will need to make upgrades yet!

It has 175K on it. The engine seemed to be fine so let's see how it goes.

Welcome to the dark side! These cars are amazing to drive and they look fabulous. Is it only the RPM gauge or both RPM and speedo that don't work? You should also check out bigcoupe.com, its a 6er only forum and there is a lot useful info there as well as very knowledgeable people there.

I really like the colour! it looks like there is no rust. You will find out over time that as wonderful as it is to fall sick to the 6er bug, it will equally put a big hole in your pocket!

Thanks for the compliments. The car you saw couldn't be mine since I am not in that area often.

Cheers.
