Tire help

Need to ask a question for my buddy at work. He has a pre facelift 325. He got it used and had to replace the rear tires. They were Toyo's and he got the same ones again. They are now down to the wear bars in less than a year. He said he drives pretty fast but no power slides or burnouts.

Does this sound like normal wear? He's got less than 20k on them.

If they're Toyo T1-R's, the wear really fast.
