tire size for lowered e36 on 16's ?????

what size tire would you run on a 16" rim if you were lowering your car with Eibach springs? could i run the stock 225/50/16 lowered ??
Bimmersport says 225/45/16.......for a sportier look.

if you have pics & specs please post with your reply.
(tire size & suspension set up)

Still looking for 17 or 18" but not enough $$$ right now.

225/50/16.

I'd run 245/45/16, but finding a 16 wide enough would be hard.

Stay with the 225/50R16 if you are going to stay with 16" wheels. If you lower the car and they put on a shorter tire it will look like you didn't do anything. The idea of springs is to lower the car and to have less wheel well gap. If you want lower profile tires go with bigger wheels.

Here's a shot of mine. Right now I'm running 205/55 ZR16s on Bilstein Yellows w/ H&R sports.

thats the same tire size i have on mine now....205/55/16 on the same wheels as well....how much do those springs lower (standard 1.5")?? I thought I might rub...no issues for you? Looks good enough to me!

^^ Yeah, they drop about 1.5" all around. There's no rubbing issues whatsoever - the rears are pretty far in from the fender lip.

The pics were actually taken with my winter tires on. I've since put on a brand new set of Fuzion ZRi's and am extremely happy with them so far.
