Patch Tire Questions

One of my tire just got a nail in the groove area (not on the sidewall). I got it plugged at one of the garage shop. However, I am concerned whether it is safe to do just tire plugging.

Anyone knows where I can find a tire shop in Markham area with reasonable price that can do tire patching? Most dealerships cost around $50 excl'd. taxes and have to be waited at least one or two days for appointment.

It's safe up to a point. It's generally known that the tire will lose it's high speed capability, meaning any sustained cruising at over 160 isn't recommended.
