Cabby

If a cabby sees your reckless driving and gets your plates down and chases you. What can he do? If he gives the plate to the police what can they do?

i f*ckin' hate cab drivers
they're the worst
they're the idiots that on a 2 lane road, at a stop light will pull beside you and then rev the crap out of their crown victoria and cut in front of you.
I make it an effort to block them in and send them to the end of the line of cars where they came from every time.
i laugh every time i see one get pulled over by the cops lol

this one cab driver was nuts. After he got my plate he tried to get my friends. My friend sped off like crazy and the cab floowed him just as fast provoking a high speed chase over nothin. If the cabby tries to get my in trouble I think i could use this to help me.

The Police are unable to do anything without hard evidence. If they simply went by someones word, there'd be a million cases in court every week. What they will do however is log your plate # in their complaints database. If complaints continue to come in, you will be contacted to discuss your driving.

the only things cabs are good for is driving you home from the airport. the ones downtown are just @$$holes. They should just close those damn things down

complaint

Phantom's right about the complaint log. Anyone can complain about a stupid/bad/drunk etc... driver. They can't do anything about it but they can and do make note of your plate. And it goes into a database for potential further use. I know. A few years ago. Someone must have called me in. I guess I was in a particular rush that day and may have been---may have been--how should I say - exploring the lanes in an aggressive manner. The actual quote from the OPP officer was "weaving in and out of traffic like a sewing machine". That's what my dad told me later on. That was a long time ago people! I'm not like that anymore. And I must have been in a rush for something?! Anyhow. Just to let you know. They really do log your plates.

ah ya. my exams are finished so i decided to go to my dad's office today in the eatons center. so I parked at yorkdale and went down. So on my way back I decided to stop at my grandperents place on highpark and annette. there wasn't any traffic so I took a cab thinking I was going to save some time. On the way I opened the window to get some air cause it wreaked like mold. The guy decided it was to cold for himself so he closed the window. he didn't have any handles so I put my hands in the window crack. So now I have a painful to move my finger bruise on my middle and index finger. and yes my birthday is on the 30th! !!!HAPPY!!!
