Throttle Cable

Recently the black plastic tension adjuster on my throttle cable broke and so now when i rev too high the tensioner seperates and gets caught on something and the throttle jams.

I was told i have to replace the entire cable and also that everywhere my parts guy called (several bmw dealers) was out of stock and the cable is backordered so it will take a LOOOOONG time to get one.

Anyone on here have one they want to sell me? (or donate to me? ) Or know of a parts supplier that has one in stock?

There is a recall for this. When I had a 535 I had this happen, and I found the recall. I went in demanding to have it done, they said that in their database, my car already had it. So I said f it I'll pay for the part. They sold me a paperclip bent in the shape of two loops on the ends of a stick for like 8 bucks. I think they actually give you two, one for the throttle cable and one for the cruise cable. I went to install it and found the same stupid paperclip already installed... the fix is too weak. I put the 2nd one on top of the first one, and that seemed to make it stiff enough to never return.
