4.1 lsd slowed 325e down
just put a 4. lsd in a 325e and a major speed difference, slowed me down alot, 5th at 4000rpm id say maye only like 80 or 90 mph
can i take the guts from the 4.1 and turn the stock differential from the 325e into a lsd?
or is there another way to get my rpms back, maybe a e30 m3 tranny, will that work?

A 4.10 is WAY too short for a mostly stock 325e. A 3.46 is about the max that you want. Sell that diff and get something else...

Nah...I was VERY happy with my 3.91...very nice way to enjoy those 200lb of torque!!! Never needed to downshift, you just punch it, and it goes!

It may have felt faster, but you really lost a lot of the powerband.

When the speedo is showing 190+Km/h, and we consider its not 100% accurate, so lets say it was 180...thats still VERY good for a car with over 400000 original Km, and a 3:91 repalcing the stock 2:73....

I'm pretty sure i got a stock diff in the back but mine has posi already. Creating an LSD is just a matter of welding the the trow out gears together. But then it's constant. is a new diff a huge gain, i'm pretty impressed with the stock one. I have done alot of work to the motor and it plays the powerband nicely.

A chip will bring an ETA up to 200lb/t, those engines are highly underated.
