So what is a good anti-popo system i can get reasonably for my car? Something that is proven effective? Something some of you guy's have used or are using. Something.....good!

After all of the cop activity this time of year you can' t turn around without one up your tailpipe.

Well my buddy just got one for 50 american for his RX-7. It is called a cobra something, I can't exactly remember but it detects radarfrom very far away, a few kilometres I beleive and it can't be detected by police cars either. He just went over the border to Buffalo to a performance shop and grabbed it. The thing plugs right into thelighter and can be pulled out when ever you want to. I'm going to be buying one next week when I go over the border

I've been through a bunch of radar detectors. Currently I'm using the "best one on the market" it's the Valentine 1. What a difference this baby makes over the other peices of shit out there. I've also had many Bell products... 855STI, 945I, 680I and the cordless one too for my bike. Save your money and buy the Valentine 1.... the only one you'll ever need. The cheaper the unit, the more false alarms it gives off.... so annoying around town. And they "say" that cops can't detect them? yeah, because they have VG-2 guard.... what that means is that they TURN OFF internally if a police presence is found... without telling you, then you're vulnerable! Look for one with "stealth" technology like the STI series or the Valentine. The Valentine can only be bought directly from the manufacturer in Cincinattii for $400.00 U.S.

check this site out. It gives some of the comparisons of the top radar detectors. We have the bel 980 and it works awsome.

From what I hear people usually argue between the top passport and the V1.

But these days with the OPP's new tripod lasers I wonder how much protection any of these really offer. Unless you got lucky and the laser bounced off the car in front of you chances are you're already caught when your alarm goes off...

Makes me wish they were still using those big ol radars!
