It depends on the car/colour/finish but a good job usually costs at least 2000 and even more if your doing a colour change. Or you can goto macko and get a 500 dollar job that will look like shit and very dull after the first year.

Advantage Collision in Niagara Falls will do a Complete Colour change for around Plus or minus $1000.00

They have done three of the top Import Cars in the Scene.
Quality is awesome and they don't need to charge you an arm and a leg because they are in Niagara Falls...

I paid $4000.00 for my first paint job (rip off)

I'll tell you something...

I work at a bodyshop. A nice paint job should cost anywhere from 2000 and up... It's more like, you get what you pay for.
you wanna pay 500 for a paint job, your gonna get bad bodywork
and there goin to cut corners. for example, to prime an e30 like mine it would cost about $300 just for the primer, hardner and reducer to do the whole car.(thats just for materials) the labour is also gonna cost ya (to sand car down and prime it) then they'll
sand it down again, mask it up then paint it.. paint is expensive too. Not to mention, if you have any rust or dents, youll need bodywork.. Its alot of work to get a car painted, and to actually make it look good

I totally agree with you on the fact that if you only pay $500 FOR A paint job it going to shit . The $1000 includes minor body work, (door dings etc.) and spraying. That doesn't include sanding and polishing.... Which to get that done is $300.
Hey if you want to pay extra that is fine..... Paying more money doesn't always mean your get a better paint job. Toronto can charge a arm and a leg, because people don't know better and the import scene is so big up there.

thats very true.

you have to shop around.
who's got a good price?
who does a good job?
The best critics are the previous customers
