Unhappy rust on machined rotors

i recently had my front brake rotors machined...i'm not sure if the mechanic forgot to dress/lubricate the rotors after machining them but i'm getting some serious rust

usually, when rotors are turned/machined what is done to prevent rusting?

will the rust be removed by the brake pads after a few km's of use? i've already done about 500 kms

The rust is normal. All of my cars have surface rust on their rotors, but it gets cleaned off when you drive. If it's not, then try braking really hard (on a quiet street with little or no cars to be safe), and see if that cleans it off. If it still doesn't, maybe your pads need to be set?
I think you can turn off the car, and pump the brake pedal until it gets so stiff you can't push it anymore, and that should reseat the brake pads in case that's what it is.

i think also it's just normal. i noticed after i wash the car or after rain the rotors are all rusted but once i start driving they clean up.
