Isn't that casino going to be in the portland area? Now they are talking about the exhibition as the prime location for the casino.

Those renders are wayyyyyy off. There's almost no traffic there in daylight! IMPOSSIBRU!
They need to fix the city's abysmal transportation (Gardiner, highways, laughable public transit) first.

+1. I guess it will depend on housing market. If they can get the new immigrants (the bank slaves) to continue working 2-3 jobs and keep the housing market rolling, the traffic situation will just worsen by 2020. Even than, they still need the time to build the infrastucture.

There are 3 main proposals. Each developer has teamed with a casino chain and have proposed different locations.
I can't find the article but the Globe or Star had a good summary of all three proposals.

Traffic is a major issue, maybe not, if the locals are the ones playing mainly they will learn to take buses and transit. Unlikely much more car traffic would stop it during the evening hours from working out. More time in traffic there, sure but living near one ofr years now it is no real impact on traffic from midnight to 7 pm at night, people work.

This. I live in the area and it can't handle the current level of traffic in the area.
Who ever comes up with the best proposal for redeveloping the Ontario Place land should win. We'll see though. When it comes to developing in downtown bribery goes along way in determining the outcome.
