Car write off question
My car was declared a write off yesterday. I am supposed to go get my personal items and retrieve my license plates today but I was just wondering if I could remove things like seats, steering wheel, shift knob etc.

Not if it is in the possession of the Shop, they won't let you unless they are uber cool or you know them.

Are you even serious!? If they pay you for it, it's obviously NOT your car anymore! You might get away with it, but they can also refuse to pay.

Ask your insurance company. Mine said i could remove anything as long as i replaced it with stock parts. (They also said i didn't have to re-install the parts, they just had to be there).
My insurance company rocks though

Who do you use? I have TD and I'm up at the end of February and I'm going to start shopping around.

No, not a rear end at all. A van made a left in front of my vehicle in the middle of an intersection at the most busiest time of the year (xmas) in front of square one. His fault.

wOW, if that's the case, you did very well. Glad to hear. These days some drivers take some much risk to save two - three seconds by pushing for the early left turn....

TD is a pretty good insurance company. Keep in mind having a big insurance company like TD, RBC, Intact etc... makes claims a bit smoother because they have big pockets...

I was travelling just under 50km/h.. He took his turn at 30km/h. Ya the airbags are a mystery
